Background
The Ontario Universities’ Electronic Transcript System (OUETS) was developed in 1996 by the Ontario universities and the OUAC to allow the electronic exchange of academic transcripts using EDI and the SPEEDE/ExPRESS standard, and more recently, PESC XML.
The following OUAC application divisions participate in the OUETS:
- Contract
- Law School
- Medical School
- Non-Secondary
- Rehabilitation Sciences
- Teacher Education
External partners of the system include:
- Ontario Colleges via the OCAS trading hub
- 2 institutions from British Columbia (that send transcripts electronically to the OUAC via EducationPlannerBC)
- Douglas College
- Kwantlen Polytechnic University
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), which receives Ontario university transcripts requested via the OUAC
- Qualifications Evaluation Council of Ontario (QECO), which receives Ontario university transcripts requested via the OUAC
