Mandate
As per the Standing Committee on Student Recruitment Terms of Reference (SCSR TOR), Article IX, Section 1 – In an effort to foster open communication with the Ontario guidance community, the SCSR coordinates, in collaboration with the OUAC, the planning and execution of the 2 annual Ontario Universities’ Guidance Dialogues (OUGD) virtual events for Ontario guidance counsellors.
OUGD are intended to serve as a professional development opportunity for those in the province, advising students who are exploring university education or who have applied or intend to apply to Ontario universities.
Initiative Lead
As per the SCSR TOR, Article II, Section 4f, the OUGD-WG Chair, in collaboration with the OUAC, is responsible for planning and executing the Ontario Universities’ Guidance Dialogues (OUGD) events for Ontario guidance counsellors, as referenced in Article IX.

GCSR |
The member institutions provide the mandate to the SCSR and are the first level of approval required for changes to the SCSR TOR. The GCSR reports to the Ontario University Registrars’ Association (OURA). |

SCSR |
The SCSR is voted into their positions by the GCSR at the AGM and is responsible for overseeing and executing the collective initiatives stated in the GCSR TOR. The SCSR acts on behalf of the GCSR. |

OUAC |
The OUAC is an ex officio member of the SCSR and provides administration, communications and publicity support for OUGD. |
| Guidance Counsellors | Guidance Counsellors, as key influencers, are integral in disseminating information about the OUGD to high school students and families. |

OSCA |
The Ontario School Counsellors’ Association (OSCA) serves as a key marketing and promotional channel for OUGD events. |
| Data Collection Steering Committee (DC-SC) | The DC-SC is responsible for providing data collection best practices and data collection implementation for the OUGD events. |
